If it were up to us, summer break would last all the way through September. It really is one of the most beautiful months here in our mitten state. Lucky for us, we had the opportunity to spend a beautiful Saturday in September at the Outdoor Discovery Center with some special families connected to Family Hope Foundation.
Our family events aren’t possible without the support of community partners who believe in the mission of Family Hope Foundation. Thanks to Haworth Helps and Gentex Corporation, families spent the afternoon learning about different species of animals, fishing off the dock (with lots of catch and release!), getting unique caricature drawings to take home, exploring the many trails and play areas throughout the ODC, and enjoying a delicious catered lunch.
Family events give kids and families a chance to take a break from their normal routine, and simply enjoy having fun together in a place where everybody belongs. We’re just so grateful we get to be along for the ride.
